In an Oct. 25 Facebook post, Rep. Randy Frese shared his visit to Quincy for a legislative update event.

Frese was initially voted into the Illinois House in 2015. A Republican, his legislative background consists of working on the Health Care Licenses and Museums, Arts, & Cultural Enhancement. Frese is a state representative who lives in Adams County, according to information from the Illinois House.

"Thank you to the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce and Great River Economic Development Foundation for hosting me this morning for a legislative update," Frese said. "I’m grateful to the many folks in attendance for asking great questions and for staying engaged in state government."

Frese's travels are part of an effort to become familiar with his new district.

"Hello friends! It’s been a busy season with a lot of work to be done," Frese posted. "While I continue to serve the wonderful District 94 constituents, I’m also on the move trying to get to know all the great people in the newly formed District 99. Last week I enjoyed spending the day supporting my friend and fellow legislator Senator Jil Tracy at her golf outing. This year, I’m moving my own outing to Rolling Greens Golf Course in Mt. Sterling! I hope you’ll consider joining me there. See the attached form for more information."

In other travels, Frese made note of a trip to the Adams County Fair.

“(My wife) and I enjoyed a delicious lemon shake-up, kettle corn, and ice cream all while having fun at the Adams County Fair,” Frese wrote on Facebook. “It’s a beautiful night and the sweet corn was excellent as well! Hope you have the chance to stop by for all of the wonderful things Adams County has to offer.”

In similar news, Frese also went to Jacksonville.

"To my Jacksonville and surrounding area friends: I‘ll be visiting The Little Stove this coming Monday (July 11)," Frese said. "I would love for you to come out and chat with me. Looking forward to meeting you! And if you haven’t visited this delicious Jacksonville eatery, don’t wait. This is my not my first visit and I’ve enjoyed it tremendously."
