Representative Randy Frese is looking forward to knowing the people of District 99.
In a July 6 Facebook post, Frese shared some of his recent work and announced a move for his golf outing.
"Hello friends! It’s been a busy season with a lot of work to be done," Frese posted. "While I continue to serve the wonderful District 94 constituents, I’m also on the move trying to get to know all the great people in the newly formed District 99. Last week I enjoyed spending the day supporting my friend and fellow legislator Senator Jil Tracy at her golf outing. This year, I’m moving my own outing to Rolling Greens Golf Course in Mt. Sterling! I hope you’ll consider joining me there. See the attached form for more information."
Frese also announced on Facebook that his golf outing, scheduled for Aug. 19, will be held at Rolling Greens Golf Course on Route 99 in Mt. Sterling.
He visited Jacksonville on July 11, with a two-hour stop at The Little Stove to meet the community.
In April, Frese questioned the audit findings of Northern Illinois University, particularly focusing on the decline in enrollment. Frese questioned NIU President Lisa Freeman and other university officials about the increased cost per student and increased spending during an April 27 Legislative Audit Commission.
"Can you expound to me on what those auxiliary enterprises are?" Frese said. "Because 13% of that budget seems to be a large amount that I'd like to see a little bit more detail on."
