Report: Knoxville spent $9,037 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Knoxville Community Unit School District 202 is up 12.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Galesburg Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Knox County school district spent $8,018 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,037 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1141 to 1064.

Knoxville's spending in 2017-18 was 32.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
