Elly Bentley led the Carl Sandburg College women's basketball team with 18 points, but the Chargers dropped an 83-58 decision at Waubonsee on Saturday afternoon.
Bentley finished 8 of 20 from the field and had five rebounds for Sandburg in the loss. Freshman Savannah Dominique was nearly perfect from the floor for the Chargers, finishing with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting.
Lilly Isenhour and Sophia Gugliotta each put up eight points for Sandburg, and Gracie Sims had seven points and a team-best seven rebounds.
Waubonsee jumped to a 17-9 lead after a quarter and led 41-23 at halftime.
