Altona Fire Protection District responded to five calls in 2018 - 37.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Altona included four fires - three structure fires and one other fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Altona Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $40,531 in 2017.
