R.O.W.V.A. Cusd 208 School District recently issued the following announcement.
Students will be responsible for acquiring the following items by class on Thursday, August 15th. Students will also be responsible for replacing the above-mentioned items if lost.
2 Composition Notebooks (100 sheets, college ruled) - for Interactive Student Notebooks (this is a technique that I have been researching that appears to be beneficial for student learning and that can be used in future math courses).
3 regular notebooks or loose-leaf paper for notes and homework -- inexpensive notebooks are fine as long as they are perforated
A textbook cover (jumbo size - regular size is too small) or material for covering textbook.
Students need to come to every class with a pencil, eraser, their covered textbook, their school device and charger (phones are not allowed), composition notebook, regular notebook/loose-leaf paper, and folder in order considered prepared, beginning Thursday, August 15th. Students will lose participation points if they do not.
This year we will have a class set of TI 30X IIS calculators. That being said, students will not be able to check them out. If you purchase a calculator for your child, the TI 30X IIS has been students’ favorite one. Right now (7/23/19), they are $9.00 at Target and Walmart.
If there is a problem getting these items by that date, please email me.
Thank you,
Mrs. Salsman
