Dallas Fire Protection District issued the following announcement on June 12.
To the community primarily serviced by Dallas Fire Station 19, be advised that your fire station is currently undergoing renovation work; and as a result, the emergency response resources have been temporarily relocated to 2 different nearby fire stations (as not to adversely impact emergency response).
The firqe station has not been closed down.
Personnel expect to be able to return to the station in the next month or so, assuming there are no unexpected developments. Rest assured that we are taking every measure possible to return your local fire station to full service, while also ensuring optimal living conditions for the men and women who work there.
On behalf of all of Dallas Fire-Rescue, the Public Information Office would like to apologize for this information not being disclosed sooner, as an oversight on my part resulted in the information never being posted.
For any questions or concerns, please send an email the Public Information Office, at dfrquestions@dallascityhall.com or dfrpioquestions@dallascityhall.com.
