Henderson County ranks 94th in total sales taxes paid in Illinois during April

Henderson County taxpayers ranked 94th in total sales taxes paid per county in April, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, residents paid $60,878 in sales taxes during April.

The county also ranked 94th in the Prairie State the month before, with $55,591 spent in sales taxes.

The largest share of sales taxes paid by Henderson County residents in April came from the Special County Retailers Occupation Tax.

The Special County Retailers Occupation Tax, a crucial revenue stream, is primarily allocated for county governments' use.
