Fulton County Health Committee met May 6

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order: 5:30 p.m.

2. Roll Call: Brian Platt, present; Paula Grigsby, present; Dave Widger, present; Barry Beck, present. Dan Kumer arrive @ 5:35. Also present Tammie Denning, Administrator and Diana Keime, BOM.

3. Call for Additions/Deletions to and Approval of the Meeting Agenda: Grigsby moved to approve the agenda, 2nd by Beck. All in favor, motion carried.

4. Announcements, Communications and Correspondence – All Health Facilities: Approval was received to use the new Shower Room. The new 5 Star report shows Clayberg as a 5 star home. The only other 5 star home in the area is Graham. Annual survey was completed and 3 minor paper tags were received in nursing and 3 in Life Safety.

5. Public Remarks: N/A

a. Members of the Public who wish to address the Board must provide the Chairperson with prior written notice of their intent to speak. The written notice shall identify the name and address of the speaker, as well as a short statement indicating the speaker’s topic. Each citizen is limited to five (5) minutes. Citizen’s remarks shall not exceed 30 minutes per meeting.

6. Review of Minutes from Previous Month’s Meetings: Beck moved to approve the minutes, 2nd by Widger. All in favor, motion carried.

7. Claims/Review of Accounts’ Payable Items – All Health Facilities Discussion/Action: after review of claims, Grigsby moved to pay claims, 2nd by Beck. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.

8. Transfer of Funds – All Health Facilities – Discussion/Action: N/A

9. Immediate Emergency Appropriations – All Health Facilities: N/A

10. Resolutions for Board Meeting – All Health Facilities: N/A

11. Old Business

a) Discussion/Action: Financial Update – Previous Month’s Facility Data Review

i) Admissions/Census (Clayberg): 4/1/25 – 46, 4/30/25 – 47. 1 discharge and 2 expired.

ii) Accounts’ Receivable/Aging (Clayberg) reviewed again and noted a medicaid payment of 20K hit the bank on 5/1/25, also reviewed the medicare and insurance payments and Treasurer’s reports.

iii) Facility Operational Status Updates (Clayberg)

b) Discussion/Action: Facility Capital Improvement Projects

i) Shower Room – Project update: as discussed above – open and in use.

c) Discussion/Action: RN short term contract: no new information

d) Discussion/Action: Van – RFP opening: 1 response received – Beck moved to approve purchase of van, 2nd by Widger. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.

e) Discussion/Action: Call Light System – RFP opening: 2 responses received. One cheaper by 5K, but wifi connected. The other hard wired. Will review and make recommendations to the Committee.
