Henderson County residents rank 93rd in total sales taxes paid in Illinois for November 2024

Henderson County taxpayers ranked 93rd in total sales taxes paid per county in November 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Henderson County residents paid $51,354 in sales taxes during November 2024.

Henderson County also ranked 93rd in the Prairie State the month before, with $47,370 spent in sales taxes.

The Special County Retailers Occupation Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Henderson County residents in November 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
