FOIA Request to Warren County Sheriff Regarding 2024 Arrest Records on January 7, 2025.
As a team at Galesburg Reporter, we have submitted a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140) for arrest records in Warren County for the year 2024. We are seeking this information in an electronic format if possible.
The requested records specifically include a list of all arrests from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. The fields we have asked for in these records are: the arrestee's name, the date of the arrest, the gender and race of the arrestee, their date of birth, and the crime they were arrested for.
At Galesburg Reporter, our commitment is to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs. Access to public records such as these is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
