The request was made by Galesburg Reporter, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

The FOIA request specifically asked for a list of all currently unpaid parking violations. The requested details include the name of the offender, their address, the amount due, violation date, and total due.
