3. Call for Additions/Deletions To and Approval of the Agenda

Member Platt moved to approve the agenda with a second from Member Southwood. Motion carried by voice vote with all ayes.

6. New Business

a. Discussion/Action: CEJA funds from 2023 application current projects and potential projects

Cole Mcdaniel reported that the 2023 Energy Transition Grant totals $924,554. The funds have been allocated as follows: $403,651.77 has been designated for the County Highway Department project, $170,902.23 will be distributed to impacted taxing districts. Banner-Liverpool MTAD will be removed from the funding equation, and their amount will be split between Banner Township, Liverpool Township, and Buckheart Township,: $100,000 will be allocated for community revitalization grants and $250,000 will be allocated for community and economic development grants.

Hometown Consulting to prepare draft applications and guidelines for both the Community Revitalization and Community & Economic Development grants to be reviewed by the finance committee.

b. Discussion/Action: Phase 2 Application – Energy Transition Grant Program

The 2024 Energy Transition Grant, totaling $1,080,457. The funds will be allocated as follows: $650,000 will be used for the County Highway Department project, $199,504.52 will be distributed to impacted taxing districts and $230,952.48 will be allocated for public facilities improvements.

Schedule a public engagement/stakeholder meeting for mid-July by the end of this week.
