● A big thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Henderson County for their donation to the West Central Pre-School Program.

● Congratulations to Ms. Nannen, Miss Tromblee and our students on their outstanding Spring Music performances

● Elementary IPA Student Recognition Award winners: Tucker Corzatt and Kylie Westfall

● Middle School IPA Student Recognition Award winners: Mason Schaley and Hannah Manes

● High School IPA Student Recognition Award winners: Shelby Bowman and Noah Lenahan

● We appreciate the Stronghurst Lion's Club and the Henderson County Soil and Conservation group for partnering to provide trees to our 4th grade students in recognition of Arbor Day.

● Evelyn Gobel was an individual winner in the 29th Annual Alcohol/Drug Prevention Poster Contest. She received a certificate and Mrs. Wood, who entered many posters from kids in health class received a gift card to keep doing great things with the health class!!

● WCMS State Track Meet Qualifiers - 4x100 Relay Sam Deverell, Jackson Adams, Tyler Ricketts, and Carter Gibb; Shot Put and Discus - Jackson Adams and 800m - Peyton Russell

● Several of our WC students participated in the 22nd Annual Courageous Smiles Invitational at Illini West High School. We are so proud of our student athletes.

● The Secret Case of Sherlock Holmes had 3 fabulous public performances and 1 private show for Oakwood Lane.

● Congratulations to Julie Ricketts, Nikki Mills, and Amy Chandler being our 2024 ROE Excellence in Education winners for West Central.

● We also want to recognize the following staff members who are retiring at the end of the year: Jill Colley, Joe Peters, Lisa Lox, Kim Allaman, Brenda Stamper, Doug Rutzen and Peggy Shutwell. Thank you for your dedicated service to our district.
