McDonough County Board Road and Bridge Committee met Jan. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Vice Chair Craig Foster, Mike Cox, George Dixon, Travis Hiel, Jerry Raby, and Jarad Royer. Chair Dave Cortelyou, and Member Eric Chapman were absent. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Patrick Stout, County Engineer Megan Crook, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and Deputy Clerk Emily Flynn.

Vice Chair Craig Foster called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Review Minutes from December 7, 2023

Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Dixon to approve the minutes with a correction. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Intergovernmental Agreement with North Crew for Oil & Chip – 2024

Member Cox moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement with North Crew for Oil and Chip – 2024. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Intergovernmental Agreement with South Crew for Oil & Chip – 2024

Member Royer moved with a second by Member Cox to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement with South Crew for Oil and Chip – 2024. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Resolution to Replace Bed on Truck 9 with New Stainless-Steel Bed Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the Resolution to Replace the Bed on Truck 9 with a New Stainless-Steel Bed for $74,807.00. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Work Report

Report given by Dave Cadwalader.

Claims

Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Other Business

Engineer Crook discussed the rock quarry road near Colchester. She has priced doing concrete on 200 feet of the road, and is going to ask the quarry to share the cost. Crook has four pieces of equipment that she would like to sell, send to full Board to declare a four-piece surplus.

Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Raby to adjourn the meeting at 7:16 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
