Galesburg High School had the highest enrollment among Knox County schools, welcoming 1,222 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52% of them were boys, and 48% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 61.9% of the student body at Galesburg High School.

Among the 19 schools in Knox County, Churchill Junior High School ranked second in enrollment with 579 students, while King Elementary School welcomed 503 students to be ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.

Galesburg High School is a part of Galesburg Community Unit School District 205, which generally encompasses schools within Knox County with its main office in Galesburg.

In the previous school year, Galesburg High School had the highest number of students among Knox County schools.
