West Central Community Unit School District #235 Board of Education met Oct. 7.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The meeting was called to order by President Schaley at 8:30 am. in the Middle School Gym. The following board members answered roll call: Bigger, Chockley, Clark, Gullberg, Schaley, and Vancil. Absent from the meeting was Higgins. President Schaley declared a quorum present. Also present were Superintendent Day, Elementary Principal Lafary and WCATS Vice-President Boyle.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
The Board toured the Middle School and discussed facility needs for improvement. After finishing at the Middle School, the Board traveled to the High School and then finished their building tours at the Elementary School. At each building, Board members created lists of projects that need completed and are sending those to Superintendent Day to add to the master list for long-term facility plans. The Board agreed to continue this discussion prior to next week's Regular Board of Education Meeting and will meet at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 for a Facility Work Session.
FUTURE MEETING DATE
The Board was reminded that the regular Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Motion by Clark, seconded by Bigger to adjourn at 11:50 am. Majority of Ayes by Voice Vote. Motion carried.
