McDonough County Board Road & Bridge Committee met Sept. 7

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Chair Dave Cortelyou, Vice Chair Craig Foster, Eric Chapman, Mike Cox, Travis Hiel, and Jerry Raby. Members George Dixon, and Jarad Royer were absent. Other persons in attendance: Patrick Stout, County Engineer Megan Crook, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and Deputy Clerk Stacey Alexander.
Chair Dave Cortelyou called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Review Minutes from August 3, 2023
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approve Resolutions for County Aid to Bridge Projects 2347-34, 2352-57, and 1530-85
Member Chapman moved with a second by Member Foster to approve Resolutions for County Aid to Bridge Projects 2347-34, 2352-57, and 1530-85. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approve Resolution for 24 Pavement Preservation Program
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Cox to approve the Resolution for 24 Pavement Preservation Program.
Motion carried on a voice vote.
Work Report
Report given by County Engineer Crook.
Claims
Member Foster moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Business
On September 30th at 5:30 p.m. there will be a public hearing on the wind farm, this will be held at the Spoon River College Outreach Center.
County Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that the ESDA & Claims meeting this month will be held in Courtroom 202.

Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Chapman to adjourn the meeting at 7:14 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
