Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 Board of Education met Sept. 6

Call to Order: President Arvanitis called the meeting to order at 5:17 p.m.
Board of Education Members
Present – Mrs. Athena Arvanitis, President; Mrs. Elizabeth Hosler, Vice-President; Mrs. Courtenae Trautmann, Secretary; Mrs. Kelly Asseff; Mrs. Kara Caforio; Dr. Kelly Henry
Absent – Mr. Jim Collin
President Arvanitis stated 6 board members present, 1 board member absent, a quorum is present.
Administration
Present - Dr. Keisha Campbell, Superintendent and Mr. Whelton
Pledge of Allegiance: Board members led those present in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Public Comments: There were no public comments.
Per board policy 2:230, it is not the Board’s practice to directly engage in discussion, ask, or answer questions with the individuals addressing the Board during public comment.
Agenda Action Items
Approval of Interim Principal Contract
Dr. Campbell introduced the recommendation for the interim principal contract for Mrs. Linda Fehrenbacher, who will be working with an extremely strong Bryan middle school team in partnership with the current leadership, Assistant Principal Sheehan. There will be oversight by Executive Director of Secondary Education, Ms. Kerry Leuschel. The approval will allow Principal Discipio to concentrate completely on her healing and recovery.
President Arvanitis asked for a motion to approve the Interim Bryan MS Principal Administrator Contract for Linda Fehrenbacher, as presented. Mrs. Caforio moved and Mrs. Hosler seconded the motion. ROLL CALL VOTE: Mrs. Caforio, Mrs. Hosler, Mrs. Hosler, Mrs. Asseff, Mrs. Trautmann, Dr. Henry, and Mrs. Arvanitis voted aye. Motion carried. Mr. Collins, was absent.
