McDonough County Board Finance Committee met Aug. 24.

The Finance Committee budget meeting was held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Law Library. Committee members present were Chair Travis Hiel, Letha Clark, Joe Erlandson, Dave Nissen, and Dave Cortelyou. Members Larry Aurelio, and Mike Cox were absent. Others in attendance included Vicky Kipling, Eric Jameson, Nick Petitgout, Megan Crook, Laura Whitney, Judge Heidi Benson, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Hiel called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.
New Business
Eric Jameson - Coroner
Eric Jameson submitted his budget request, a discussion was held and questions were answered.
Nick Petitgout - Sheriff
Nick Petitgout submitted his budget request, a discussion was held and questions were answered.
Megan Crook – County Engineer
Megan Crook submitted her budget request, a discussion was held and questions were answered.
Judge Heidi Benson – Administrative Judge
Judge Heidi Benson submitted her budget request, a discussion was held and questions were answered.
Letha Clark – Animal Control
Letha Clark submitted the Animal Control’s budget request, a discussion was held and questions were answered.
Adjourn
Member Clark moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to adjourn the meeting at 4:31 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
