Board Committee Discussion

Dr. Guerrero attended a webinar regarding committees. She was hoping to clarify what was needed. It is not a good practice to have a Committee of the Whole the same night as a regular board meeting. Mrs. Rose asked if anyone was tied to having a Committee of the Whole, it did not seem as if anyone was.

Permanent Substitute Position Discussion

Dr. Guerrero is going to reword the purpose so it has clear expectations. She was also going to check with the ROE regarding qualifications.

FY 22 and FY 23 $59000 was spent at the high school on internal subs. There is a rising need for qualified subs. Whoever is hired for the permanent position, could be released at the end of the year. They would not be tenured and could be used at any school. They would receive benefits after 10 days.

It was moved by Member Stearns and seconded by Member McCracken to amend and approve the consent agenda, removing item 6.4 & 6.6 and adding the RN/LPN job description.
