City of Galesburg Landmark Commission met June 6.
Here are the minutes provided by the commission:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Suzanne Klohn, Bob Miener, and Greta Woolsey, 3.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mark Martin, Deb Sugai, 2.
OTHERS PRESENT: None.
Staff declared a quorum was present.
Approve Minutes of May 2, 2023
Member Woolsey made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Member Klohn.
Minutes were approved by voice vote.

LC-23-0601 Consider Annual Historic Preservation Awards – 523 N Chambers St
The Historic Preservation Award was presented to Sherry and Jason Kersh for the work they did on their home located at 523 N Chambers St.
Some of the work included removing steel siding, which uncovered rotted cedar that needed to be replaced west side of chimney and in front. Re-roping and new glazing in all the existing window frames, power washing-priming and painting the exterior.
There being no further business, Member Woolsey made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Member Klohn, approved by voice vote the meeting adjourned at 5:51 P.M.
