Carl Sandburg College Athletics: Sandburg Sophomore Barnett Voted 2nd-Team All-Arrowhead

Carl Sandburg College men's basketball player Connor Barnett was voted to the All-Arrowhead Conference Second Team by league coaches after leading the Chargers in scoring and assists this season.

A 6-foot-5 sophomore guard, Barnett started all 10 conference games for Sandburg, averaging a team-best 11.8 points per contest. The Fulton High School product shot 46% from the field, 74% from the free-throw line and led the Chargers with 2.8 assists per game. Barnett also totaled nine steals in conference action and was third on the team in rebounding at 4.6 per game.

He scored a career-high 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting in Sandburg's win Jan. 31 against Kishwaukee. Barnett hit three 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds in the victory. He reached double figures in scoring in seven Arrowhead games.
