Galesburg Community Unit School District 205 Board of Education met Jan. 27.

Call to Order/Roll Call

The Community Unit School District #205 Board of Education met for a special meeting on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 4:00 PM at 940 W. Fremont St., Galesburg, IL. The roll was read and the following Members responded: Bess-Tabb, Lyon, Phelps, Scherpe (4) Absent: Rodriguez, Cervantez, Boettcher (3) Roll Call #1

Consider Approval of Resolution for Musco Sports Lighting, LLC. And Sourcewell Cooperative to Install new lights at the Galesburg Junior Senior High School Art Fish Tennis Courts and Sundberg Baseball Field

It was moved by Member Phelps and seconded by Member Bess-Tabb to approve the resolution.

Board discussion was had regarding which quotes to accept in regards to how many lights to install on the tennis courts. The board decided to approve the quote installing all eight (8) lights at the tennis courts. Member Phelps amended his motion to approve installing all eight tennis court lights and the baseball field lights and not yet approve the demo until getting clarification on what all entails in the demolition. Member Bess-Tabb seconded the amended motion. On roll call the following Members voted AYE: Bess-Tabb, Lyon, Phelps, Scherpe (4) Motion carried. Roll Call #2

Adjournment

It was moved by Member Phelps and seconded by Member Lyon that the meeting be adjourned—4:33 PM. On voice vote the following Members voted AYE: Phelps, Bess-Tabb, Lyon, Scherpe (4) Motion carried. Roll Call #3
