McDonough County Board Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met Nov. 8.

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201.
Committee Members in attendance included, Chair Larry Aurelio, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, Travis Hiel, Vicky Kipling, and Deckle McLean. Members Terra Litchfield, and Cyndi Helling were absent.
Others in attendance included Patrick Stout, Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe, and County Chair Scott Schwerer.
Member Mike Cox called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
Review and Approval of October 11, 2022 Minutes
Member McLean moved with a second by Member Kipling to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Farm Report
None
Administrator’s Report
Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe gave the report. Census is at 70, with 10 being Medicare, 38 being Medicaid and, 18 private-pay. Medicare currently owes $205,443.34. There were 5 admissions, and 9 discharges in October.
Financial Report
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Kipling to approve the October, 2022 Financial Reports. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Elms Claims
Member Cox moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 6 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 2 absent.
Macomb Public Building Commission
The Committee was updated on the roof at the jail, and the alarm system.
McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report
County Board Chair Schwerer gave the report.
Building and Grounds Claims
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Hiel to approve the October, 2022 Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other
Member Cox informed the Committee that the architects will be here on Friday. The Elm’s Christmas party will be on December 8th for the Board Members.
County Board Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer wished everyone good luck in the election.

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Kipling to adjourn the meeting at 7:32 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
