McDonough County Board Human Resources and Planning Committee met Nov. 10.

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, George Dixon, Cindi Helling, Vicky Kipling, Michael Kirby, and Dave Nissen. Members Deckle McLean, and Rod McGrew were absent. Others in attendance included Animal Control Officer Wendy Hughes, Patrick Stout, Karen Blakeley, Bonnie Scripps, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.
Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review and Approve Minutes from October 13, 2022
Member Helling moved with a second by Member Kirby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Animal Control Report
Animal Control Officer, Wendy Hughes gave the report. There was 20 dogs and 47 cats in the shelter at the end of October. The gutters need cleaned out, and they have a new employee.
Humane Society
Bonnie Scripps informed the Committee that they made their last transport to Quincy for the year. They will be a part of Dicken’s on the Square, and will have a fundraiser in March.

Claims
Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Kipling to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on voice vote.

County Board Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that the election went very well, he also asked everyone to remember Veteran’s Day on November 11.

Member Kipling moved with a second by Member Helling to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
