City Council Special Meeting, Public Forum Regarding Proposed Sales Tax
Mayor Schwartzman is calling a special meeting of the Galesburg City Council for the limited purpose of receiving public comment and/or providing information concerning the proposed ordinance to increase the Home Rules Sales Tax rate from 1.00% to 1.25%. This ordinance was included on the December 5, 2022 City Council agenda for a first reading and is included on the December 19, 2022 City Council agenda for final reading.
There are no action items on the agenda. Community members are invited to provide comments or questions in person or via GoogleMeet. The public forum will also be streamed live on Comcast channel 7 and the city’s website.
