Righi, Eger Pace Chargers in Loss at Ancilla

Natalie Righi and Addison Eger each came within two rebounds of a double-double in the Carl Sandburg College women's basketball team's 82-58 loss at Ancilla on Friday night.

Eger led the Chargers (1-1) with 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals while going 4 for 12 from the field. Righi tied Eger for the team lead with eight boards and finished with 11 points, including a 7-for-8 effort from the line.

Elly Bentley added 11 points and four rebounds for the Chargers.

Sandburg trailed 45-34 at halftime before Ancilla extended its lead by outscoring the Chargers 20-9 in the third quarter.

Ancilla shot 52 percent (30 of 58) from the field, while the Chargers finished with a 34 percent shooting mark (21 of 62).

Kyra Duncan and Jayci Allen led Ancilla with 14 points apiece.
