McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee met June 2.

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Chair Dave Cortelyou, Vice Chair Mike Cox, Lee Calvert, Eric Chapman, George Dixon, Craig Foster, Rod McGrew, and Dick Marcott. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Scott Hance, Patrick Stout, County Engineer Megan Crook, Mike Kirby, Lawrence Conrad, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Dave Cortelyou called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Review Minutes from May 5, 2022
Member Foster moved with a second by Member McGrew to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Discuss Bid Opening for 2022 PP Program-Oil
There has been a hold up on the State level for this. County Engineer Crook passed out a map for the 2023 Pavement Preservation Program.
Discuss Covid Funds
The Highway Department has $134,000.00 in Covid funds that can be used for a road project.
Discuss Technology Upgrades at County Highway Building
County Engineer Crook would like to do some technology updates.

Claims
Member Chapman moved with a second by Member McGrew to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Business
Vice Chair Cox inquired about the status on the Highway Department obtaining a credit card.
County Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that the County Engineer, Megan Crook has passed her exam with IDOT.
Public Comment
Larry Conrad who lives on West Adams Street in Macomb requested that the roadside not be mowed where it is entered in the State Roadside Program. Chair Cortelyou is going to make a phone call to Jeff Lee, the Emmet Township Road Commissioner.
