Fulton County Board Executive Committee met May 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order

Time: 8:10pm

2. Roll Call

Roll call was taken, quorum was present

3. Call for Additions/Deletions to and Approval of Agenda

Member Kessel moved to approve the agenda with a second from Member Madson. Motion carried by roll call vote (8-0).

4. Approval of Previous Minutes –April 6, 2022

Member Spangler moved to approve the April 6, 2022 minutes with a second from Member Kessel. Motion carried by roll call vote (8-0).

5. Announcements, Communication and Correspondence

a. Resignation of Jim Mitchell – Fulton County Board of Review

Chairman Clark discussed the resignation of Jim Mitchell from the Fulton County Board of Review. Samantha Braden will replace Jim Mitchell on the Fulton County Board of Review.

3. Reports from Committee Chairs

a. Community Development

Nothing to report.

b. Finance/Insurance

Member Spangler discussed six resolutions were approved for new line items.

The salaries for the Sheriff, County Clerk and Treasurer were discussed.

The Finance Committee approved the appointment for Samantha Braden to the Fulton County Board of Review. Step two of the budget process was discussed and will be worked on.

c. Health

Member Kessel reported an outbreak of Covid at the Clayberg. There were four staff members and fourteen residents that tested positive for Covid. Currently there are six residents testing positive for Covid. Member Kessel report a letter was received from the Cuba School District regarding a complaint against the Health Department regarding eye and ear screenings for students.

d. County Highway

Member Madson reported County Highway #2 is closed due to bridge work. County Highway 34 Maintenance is being done.

The guard rail project work is being worked on.

e. Property & Courts

Member Arnett reported the Property committee is working on the list of project work that needs to be completed at the courthouse.

The air conditioner work has been sent to Bill Phillips to get bids on the project.

The bell tower work is projected to start in the fall of 2022.

The courthouse cannon and gun were sandblasted and painted by Hitchcock’s Scrap Yard for no charge to Fulton County.

The courthouse bathrooms and air handlers work that needs to be done was discussed.

f. Personnel & Legislative

Member Thompson reported three appointments were approved.

The Covid policy was approved.

g. Public Safety & Campground

Nothing to report

Member Arnett moved to adjourn at 8:27pm with a second from Member Kessel. Motion carried by roll call vote (8-0).
