McDonough County Finance Committee met May 11.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The monthly Finance Committee meeting was held at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee members present were Chair Travis Hiel, Vice Chair Larry Aurelio, Letha Clark, Mike Cox, Joe Erlandson, and Dave Nissen. Member Dave Cortelyou was absent. Others in attendance included Randy Jones, Keith Krohe, David Jones, Patrick Stout, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Hiel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Review and Approve Minutes from April 13, 2022
Member Clark moved with a second by Vice Chair Aurelio to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
MCPT Report Review & Approval
The monthly request for April 2022 was reviewed. Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the MCPT Report in the amount of $1,048.50 for April, 2022. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Bushnell Senior Meals Report Review & Approval
The monthly report for April 2022 from the YMCA for transportation of senior meals was reviewed. Member Clark moved with a second by Vice Chair Aurelio to approve the April, 2022 YMCA report in the amount of $984.90. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Coroner Report
The monthly Coroner Report was received and filed.
Monthly Financial Reports
The monthly Financial Reports were received and filed.
Transfer of Funds
None.
Warrants Issued in Vacation
Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the Warrants Issued in Vacation. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Insurance Update
Keith Krohe gave a brief overview of the insurance plan to the Committee.
Discuss ARPA
A discussion was held on distributing the ARPA Funds.
Discuss Roth IRA
David Jones held a discussion regarding a Roth IRA. This is a post-tax contribution through Valic. To have the plan document rewritten the fee is $750.00, we will look for the plan document.
Approve Elected & Appointed Official’s Salary
Member Nissen moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the Elected & Appointed Official’s Salary. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Clark to move the County Board Pay to the Full Board Meeting on May 18, 2022. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approval of Claims
Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the Claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
