McDonough County Human Resources and Planning Committee met May 12.

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, Vice Chair Deckle McLean, George Dixon, Cindi Helling, Vicky Kipling, Michael Kirby, and Dave Nissen. Member Rod McGrew was absent. Others in attendance included Patrick Stout, Bonnie Scripps, John Vigezzi, Joe Rossmiller, and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.
Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.
Review and Approve Minutes from April 14, 2022
Member McLean moved with a second by Member Kirby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried with a voice vote.
Animal Control Report
Joe Rossmiller gave the report. There was 8 dogs and 28 cats in the shelter at the end of April. Rossmiller informed the Committee that the outside kennels are in bad shape as dogs have been getting out, animal control officer Zach Welch is going to try to fix them. They have a new employee starting on May 16, and the new sign is up.
Humane Society
Bonnie Scripps informed the Committee that the annual fund raiser will be on June 18 at the American Legion in Macomb, and there are only 100 tickets available. John Vigezzi announced that Farm King would like to do a pet weekend, he will be in contact with Zach at the Animal Shelter.

GIS Update
Chad Sperry is coming to the meeting in June.
Claims
Member McLean moved with a second by Member Kipling to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on voice vote.
Other
Chair Clark held a discussion about the McDonough County Employee luncheon. The Committee will be in charge of the luncheon this year, and she asked for Members to help.
