Chairman’s remarks

● The Commission received a letter from the Knox County Housing Authority’s attorney, Jack Ball, Esq. stating that he felt the issue had been resolved. For this reason, he did not feel there was a need to meet with the commission. The Housing Authority stated that the delay in their response to Mr. Jones was that he was not eligible at the time of his initial complaint, but he became eligible for the accommodation after filing his second complaint. Donaldson asked if Mr. Jones felt the complaint was resolved and at this time, the answer is not known. King will attempt to verify with Mr. Jones what was written in the letter from the attorney regarding the issue being resolved.

New Business

● The Commission received a complaint from Mr. Spinks regarding a local taxi company. King will reach out to Mr. Spinks for additional information. Dabale will reach out to the taxi company for additional information. Pease will determine if taxi companies are required to have a license to work within the city and if they are required to sign a nondiscrimination agreement.
