6

The Prairie Fire dropped both sides of a doubleheader against St. Scholastica on Thursday.

After Knox put a run on the board in the top of the first in game one, St. Scholastica scored five runs to take a commanding lead. Knox battled back and outscored St. Scholastica 6-4 the rest of the way to fall 9-7. Chris McTeague, Jason Clark, Brayden Bathgate, and Braden Ogden picked up two hits apiece. Bathgate and Jack Maize each tallied two RBI.

St. Scholastica won the second game 13-1. Jason Clark and Chase Thies picked up the only hits for the Prairie Fire.

"St. Scholastica is a very good team and we fought back in the first game to make it close," said associate head coach James Clark. "Our at bats weren't quite as good in the second game, but we stayed in the game until the last two innings."
