Williamsfield Community Unit School District Board of Education met Feb. 15.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The meeting began at 7:00pm in the Kutkat Conference Room of the administrative office.
The meeting was called to order by Board President Stewart.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Roll Call was taken. All BOE members were present.
There was an opportunity for public comment. Please refer to the video recording of the meeting on the district YouTube channel for details regarding public comment.
The following Consent Agenda items were approved.
All items listed under the consent agenda are considered to be routine by the Board of Education and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a board member requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and considered individually.

Approval of Jeremy King as HS JV Baseball Coach
There was discussion on COVID-19 mitigation measures. A motion was introduced to continue following ISBE/IDPH guidelines with the following exceptions: Make face coverings optional inside the school, cease contact tracing, and remove the weekly COVID-19 testing requirement for unvaccinated staff. All in favor. Motion carried.
There was discussion on extending the RW Cougars MS athletic coop to include boys & girls basketball. The decision was tabled. This item will be revisited at the next regular BOE meeting in March.

The next regular BOE meeting is scheduled to be held Monday, March 14, 2022 at 7:00pm in the Kutkat Conference Room of the administrative office. If we are unable to meet in person, the meeting will take place virtually via Google Meet.
