McDonough County Board Finance Committee met Jan. 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The monthly Finance Committee meeting was held at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Law Library. Committee members present were Chair Travis Hiel, Letha Clark, Joe Erlandson, and Dave Nissen. Members absent were Vice Chair Aurelio, Dave Cortelyou, and Mike Cox. Others in attendance included County Chair Scott Schwerer,

County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes, Member Dixon, and Patrick Stout.

Chair Hiel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from December 8, 2021

Member Nissen moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

MCPT Report Review & Approval

The monthly request for December 2021 was reviewed. Member Clark moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the MCPT Report in the amount of $1,155.00 for December, 2021. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Bushnell Senior Meals Report Review & Approval

The monthly report for December 2021 from the YMCA for transportation of senior meals was reviewed. Member Nissen moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the December 2021 YMCA report in the amount of $906.85. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Coroner Report

The monthly Coroner Report was received and filed.

Monthly Financial Reports

The monthly Financial Reports were received and filed.

Transfer of Funds

None

Warrants Issued in Vacation

Member Clark moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the Warrants Issued in Vacation. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Audit Approval

Audit will be accepted at Full Board

Insurance Update

COVID tests will be paid through Express Scripts.

ARPA Funds Action

Member Dixon gave an update on water projects. He informed the Committee that the valve project is going to run over budget. The project will run $18,500.00 over the $130,000.00.

County Chair Schwerer discussed the final rule and the ability to make up to $10,000,000.00 towards lost revenue. Member Erlandson would like to see the project finished. Member Dixon stated that he will present it to Full Board.

Chair Hiel believes the Finance Committee needs to work with Building and Grounds to work on the Courthouse. Chair Hiel would like to recommend to Full Board that all money be considered lost revenue.

Approval of Claims

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the Claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer stated that HR and Planning will look at the COVID Policy tomorrow.

Adjourn

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Nissen to adjourn the meeting at 6:57 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
