McDonough County Board Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met Jan. 11.

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Law Library. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Larry Aurelio, Vice Chair Terra Litchfield, Travis Hiel, Deckle McLean and Vicky Kipling. Members absent were Dave Cortelyou, Cindi Helling and Mike Cox. Others in attendance included Chad Wilson, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, County Clerk DeJaynes, Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe, Patrick Stout, Circuit Clerk Wilson, Sheriff Nicholas Petitgout and Member Nissen.
Chair Larry Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review and Approval of December 14, 2021 Minutes
Member Litchfield moved with a second by Member Hiel to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Farm Report
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that an add was placed in the paper for lease of the Farm.
Administrator’s Report
Census is at 65, with 6 being Medicare, 44 being Medicaid and, 15 private pay. Medicare currently owes $176,652.66. There were 34 admissions and, 36 discharges.
Financial Report
No report filed.
Elms Claims
Vice Chair Litchfield moved with a second by Member Kipling to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 5 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 3 absent.
Macomb Public Building Commission
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that Dennis Moon has stepped down as Chair of the Building Commission. The Chair of the Building Commission is now Troy Rhodes.
McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report
Director Wilson gave the report. A new maintenance employee is starting on January 18, 2022.
Building and Grounds Claims
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the December Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other
Sheriff Nicholas Petitgout and Circuit Clerk Wilson came to speak to the Committee about repairs to the Courthouse.

Member Litchfield moved with a second by Member Kipling to adjourn the meeting at 7:42 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
