McDonough County Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met Dec. 14.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201, and via zoom. Committee Members in attendance included, Chair Larry Aurelio, Vice Chair Terra Lithchfield, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, Travis Hiel, and Deckle McLean. Member Cyndi Helling was present via zoom. Member absent was Vicky Kipling. Others in attendance included Chad Wilson, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes, Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe, and Patrick Stout.
Chair Larry Aurelio called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Review and Approval of November 9, 2021 Minutes
Member Litchfield moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Farm Report
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that the tile is fixed at the farm.
Administrator’s Report
Census is at 71, with 9 being Medicare, 30 being Medicaid and, 13 private pay. Medicare currently owes $163,950.94. There were 38 admissions and, 30 discharges.
Financial Report
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the November 2021 Financial Reports. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Elms Claims
Vice Chair Litchfield moved with a second by Member Cox to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 7 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 1 absent.
Macomb Public Building Commission
Maintenance Supervisor Chad Wilson informed the Committee that everything is done at the Jail, but they are still waiting on the railing.
McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the hiring of Charles Garbett. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Building and Grounds Claims
Member McLean moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the November Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.

None.
County Board Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that Member Dixon’s request for money for the West Prairie Water will be on the Full Board Agenda

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Cox to adjourn the meeting at 6:51 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
