Call to Order/Roll Call
The Community Unit School District #205 Board of Education met for a special meeting at 5:30 PM at 932 Harrison St., Galesburg, IL. The roll was read and the following Members responded: Bess-Tabb, Phelps, Rodriguez, Scherpe (4) Absent: Boettcher, Cervantez, Lyon (3) Roll Call #1
Closed Session
It was moved by Member Phelps and seconded by Member Rodriguez to move to closed session for the purpose of a student disciplinary hearing. On roll call the following Members voted AYE: Bess-Tabb, Phelps, Rodriguez, Scherpe (4) Motion carried. Roll Call #2
Following closed session, it was moved by Member Phelps and seconded by Member Rodriguez to move to open session. On roll call the following Members voted AYE: Rodriguez, Scherpe, Bess-Tabb, Phelps (4) Motion carried. Roll Call #3
Action:
It was moved by Member Rodriguez and seconded by Member Phelps to uphold the 10-day suspension of student #241473 and to place the student on homebound instruction through Term 3 of the 2021-2022 school year. The student may return to in person learning for fourth term on March 21, 2022. On roll call the following Members voted AYE: Phelps, Rodriguez, Scherpe, Bess-Tabb (4) Motion carried. Roll Call #4
Adjournment
It was moved by Member Phelps and seconded by Member Rodriguez that the meeting be adjourned—6:47PM. On roll call the following Members voted AYE: Phelps, Rodriguez, Scherpe, Bess-Tabb (4) Motion carried. Roll Call #5
The Board took a short break.

It was moved by Member Phelps and seconded by Member Rodriguez to move to closed session for the purpose of a student disciplinary hearing—6:49PM. On roll call the following Members voted AYE: Bess-Tabb, Phelps, Rodriguez, Scherpe (4) Motion carried. Roll Call #6

Action:
It was moved by Member Rodriguez and seconded by Member Phelps to uphold the 10-day suspension of student #231438 and to place the student on homebound instruction through Term 3 of the 2021-2022 school year.
