Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District #238 Board of Education met Dec. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Monmouth-Roseville C.U.S.D. # 238 Board of Education met in a special meeting Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Board Office at 105 North E Street, Monmouth, IL 61462 and virtually. At 4:00 p.m. the meeting was called to order by President Killey and the roll was read. The following Members responded: Switzer, Watson, Bratcher, Brooks, Huston, Killey, Schumm (7). Roll call #1.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Superintendent Fletcher led the gathering in the Pledge of Allegiance

Board Member Huston exited the building at 4:01 p.m.

NEW BUSINESS

A. Action/Acceptance of Base Bid and Alternate #1 from Ryan and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $3,029,000 to replace the HVAC systems at Harding Primary and Central Intermediate School

Superintendent Fletcher presented the Board with the Architect Bid Letter for Harding and Central bid with recommendations to accept the lowest bids.

Member Brooks moved and Member Switzer seconded the motion to accept the base bid and alternate #1 from Ryan and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $3,029,000 to replace the HVAC systems at Harding Primary and Central Intermediate School. On roll call the following members voted AYE: Watson, Bratcher, Brooks, Killey, Schumm, Switzer, and Watson (6). Motion carried. Roll call #2

B. Action / Approval of Life Safety Amendment to replace the boiler and expansion tank in the kitchen at Central Intermediate School

Superintendent Fletcher presented a request for authorization to use Fire Prevention and Safety Funds for this project.

Member Bratcher moved to approve the Life Safety Amendment as presented and Member Watson seconded the motion. On roll call the following members voted AYE: Bratcher, Brooks, Killey, Schumm, Switzer, and Watson (6). Motion carried. Roll call #3

None.

BOARD COMMENTS CLOSE MEETING At 4:07 p.m., President Killey declared the meeting closed.
