Central Community Unit School District No. 4 Board of Education met Nov. 15.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The meeting of the Board of Education was called to order by President Paul Swanson at 6:00 p.m. on November 15, 2021 for the purpose of Executive Session. The Regular Meeting followed at 7:00 p.m. The meetings were held in the gymnasium at the Board Office in Ashkum, Illinois.
Roll Call
Upon the call of roll, the following members answered present: Members Swanson, Beckman, Meier, and Luhrsen. Absent: Members Beherns, Hack, and Shule.
Others in Attendance
Also in attendance were Superintendent Evans and Administrators: Marc Shaner, Dawn Oltmanns, Josh Houberg, Brian Spooner, and Meghan McFall. Approximately 20 community members were also in attendance.
Executive Session
A motion to go in to Executive Session was made by Member Meier and seconded by Member Beckman at 6:05 p.m. for the purpose of discussing the Employment or Dismissal of Personnel, Student Discipline, and Pending Litigation pursuant to the authority granted by 50LCS 120/2(C)(1), (9), and (11) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
Return to Regular Session
A motion to come out of Executive Session was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen at 6:50 p.m.

Approve Agenda
A motion to approve the agenda was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen.
Motion passed without dissent.
Public Comment
The following community members spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting: Sean Elliot, Meggan Guthrie, Douglas Warner, and Valerie Blume.
Superintendent's Report
Consent Agenda
A motion to approve the consent agenda as listed was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen.

Tentative Levy
A motion to adopt the 2021 Tentative Tax Levy at 7.5% was made by Member Meier and seconded by Member Beckman.

Resolution to Transfer Funds
A motion to adopt the resolution to transfer interest earned from Working Cash to Life Safety was made by Member Luhrsen and seconded by Member Beckman.

Executive Session Minutes
A motion to approve Executive Session Minutes of November 15, 2021 was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen.

New Employees Hired
A motion to approve the recommendation to hire Gabriella Griffith, as part-time registered nurse, Jessica Sanders, to fill vacancy as Special Education teacher at Chebanse Elementary; Dave Ladehoff, as high school boys' indoor track coach; and Jessie Behrends and Melinda Meister to share the position as high school girls' indoor track coach was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen.

Lease Levy
A motion to approve the recommended Lease Levy was made by Member Luhrsen and seconded by Member Beckman.

A motion to approve the Central High School Course. Guide as presented was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen.

Student Discipline
A motion to approve student discipline reports for November 2021 as presented was made by Member Meier and seconded by Member Beckman.

Administrator Salary
A motion to approve an increase in an administrator salary was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen

Truth in Taxation Resolution
A motion to approve the Truth in Taxation Resolution was made by Member Meier and seconded by Member Luhrsen.

FY21 Audit
A motion to approve the FY21 Audit as presented was made by Member Beckman and seconded by Member Luhrsen.

Public Hearing
A public hearing was held concerning the intent of the Board to issue $2,700,000 in working cash fund bonds to increase the working cash fund of the District. No public comment was made. A motion to close the public hearing was made by Member Meier and seconded by Member Swanson.
