McDonough County Human Resources and Planning Committee met Nov. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Law Library. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, Vice Chair Deckle McLean, George Dixon, Cindi Helling, Dave Nissen, and Vicky Kipling. Members absent were McGrew, and Kirby. Others in attendance included County Chair Scott Schwerer, Patrick Stout, John Vigezzi and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.

Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from October 14, 2021

Member Helling moved with a second by Member Dixon to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried with a voice vote.

Animal Control Report

Member Clark gave the report. The total number of dogs in the shelter at the end of September was 3 and there were 53 cats.

Policies & Procedures

None.

Humane Society

None.

GIS Update

No report.

Claims

Member McLean moved with a second by Member Kipling to approve claims as submitted. Motion carried on voice vote.

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that there is Sexual Harassment training for the Board is due by the end of the year.

County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that the Senate bill did pass and is now in the House. Chair Schwerer also stated that the Health Department is holding a clinic at the Farm King Building for COVID-19 Shots and Boosters.

Member Kipling moved with a second by Member Helling to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
