McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee met Nov. 4.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County, Law Library. Committee Members present included Vice Chair Mike Cox, Lee Calvert, Eric Chapman, George Dixon, Craig Foster, Rod McGrew, and Dick Marcott. Member absent was Chair David Cortelyou. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Rick Walker, Patrick Stout, Jamie Hocker, Roger Driskell from CMT, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Vice Chair Cox called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Review Minutes from September 3, 2021
Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Calvert to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
2023 Mack Truck purchase
Engineer walker informed the Committee that the cost of the new truck is about 10% more than the one purchased last year. Member Foster moved with a second by member McGrew to send the Resolution for the 2023 Mack Truck Purchase to Full Board
21-00112-00-BR-Scope of Services presented by Roger Driskell with CMT
Engineer Walker gave a report on bridge money. Roger Driskell from CMT gave an overview of the Bridge Project and what the Engineering Contract will cover. Member Marcott moved with a second by Member Dixson to send the 21- 00112-00BR Engineering Resolution to Full Board.
2022 MFT Resolution
Member Marcott moved with a second by Member Dixson to send the 2022 MFT Resolution to Full Board.
Personnel
The Highway Department is losing an employee and would like to hire. Member Chapman moved with a second by member Foster to approve the hiring of a new employee. Motion carried on a voice vote.
November Work Report
Report given by Dave Cadwalader.
Claims
Member Chapman moved with a second by Member McGrew to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Business
County Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the that he was contacted by Bliss McKnight about ASHA Compliance. Chair Schwerer stated that the Federal Government is voting on S3011. He informed the Committee that If it is passed it would free up ARPA money for roads.

Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Foster to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
