McDonough County ESDA & Claims Committee met Sept. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The ESDA & Claims Committee held its monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Law Library. Committee Members present were Chair Dave Nissen, Vice Chair Julie Melvin, Letha Clark, Ken Durkin, Joe Erlandson, Craig Foster, and Dick Marcott. Member absent was Larry Aurelio. Also present was ESDA Director Katie Colon, Patrick Stout, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, and Stacey Alexander.

Chair Nissen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Approval of August 17, 2021 Minutes

Vice Chair Melvin moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

ESDA Director Report

Katie Colon gave the report. Member Marcott stated he would like to see a higher percentage of people vaccinated. Member Marcott asked if signs might help.

Approval of Committee Claims

Member Marcott moved with a second by Member Foster, to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approval of County Claims

Member Durkin moved with a second by Member Foster, to approve the claims as submitted. Other

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that big Board is tomorrow night. Chair Schwerer also stated that the finance Committee and Office holders have been working diligently on their budgets.

Adjourn

Vice Chair Durkin moved with a second by Vice Chair Melvin to adjourn the meeting at 7:39 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
