Abingdon median home prices rose by 34% in the third quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Abingdon rose by $16,000 while total sales decreased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $63,000 - a 34% increase over the $47,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Abingdon in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Abingdon for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,210, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
