Harlan announces run for sheriff in 2022

Jack Harlan of Knoxville, Illinois announced his intention to seek election as a Republican to the office of Knox County Illinois Sheriff in the upcoming 2022 election. 

Harlan retired from the U.S. Army as a First Sergeant after 20 years. He directed diverse teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. He has directed and managed military assets, property and equipment valued over $600M. He is a recipient of multiple awards and promotions to senior positions for outstanding performance and professionalism. Harlan has a degree in intelligence operations, advanced leadership programs and operations management certifications. 

Jack wakes up every morning, puts on his uniform, and goes out to keep our community safe. He has dedicated his life to protecting and serving the families of our community and nation. Jack will continue that service as the next Knox County Sheriff.               

Harlan is a K9 handler and detective with the Knox County Sheriff’s department.
