McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee met June 3.

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. Committee Members present included Chair Dave Cortelyou, Vice Chair Mike Cox, Lee Calvert, Eric Chapman, George Dixon, Craig Foster, Rod McGrew, and Dick Marcott. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Rick Walker, Patrick Stout, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Dave Cortelyou called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Review Minutes from May 6, 2021
Member Calvert moved with a second by Member Cox to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
North Oiling Crew
Engineer Walker informed the Committee that the North Oiling Crew will charge $.60 per gallon. Laverdiere will charge $.60 per gallon plus truck costs. The South Oiling Crew charges $.50 per gallon. Member Foster suggested offering $.55 per gallon. Vice Chair Cox suggested offering $.60 per gallon with a ten year agreement. Member Foster moved with a second by Vice Chair Cox to allow Engineer Walker to offer the North Oiling Crew and, the South Oiling Crew between
$.55 and $.60 per gallon and, to give County Chair Schwerer the authority to sign the contract. Motion carried on a voice vote.
2021 Pavement Preservation
Engineer Walker informed the Committee that the Highway Department had put out the bid letting for the 2021 Pavement Preservation Program.
Project Status Report
Engineer Walker informed the Committee that the Center Church Road bridge is under way and, most of the dirt work is done on the Bushnell bridge.
June Work Report
Report given by Dave Cadwalader.
Claims
Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Chapman to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Business
County Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer stated that he would like for all Members of the Committee to continue the research for the Rescue money.
Adjourn
Member Dixon moved with a second by Member McGrew to adjourn the meeting at 8:48 p.m.
