McDonough County Board Law & Legal Committee Met April 5.

The Law & Legal Committee held its monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Committee Chair Joe Erlandson, Vice Chair Ken Durkin, Lee Calvert, Eric Chapman, Travis Hiel, Michael Kirby, Terra Litchfield, Julie Melvin. Other persons in attendance were County Chair Scott Schwerer, Patrick Stout, Ric Smart, Dave Schaab, Oliver Ellen and Rod Flora with RWE, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Erlandson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review & Approve March 1, 2021 Minutes
Member Calvert moved with a second by Member Litchfield to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Waste Management Update
Dave Schaab gave the report.
Tri-County Recycling
No Report.
Veteran’s Assistance and Van Report
Ric Smart gave the report. Seven Veterans were given assistance in March. Total assistance amounted to $1,405.15.
Sheriff’s Report
No report.
Assessor’s Office Update
No report.
Approve Revisions to the McDonough County Wind Farm Ordinance
Chair Erlandson went over the changes to the Wind Farm Ordinance. Member Kirby moved with a second by Member Melvin to distribute a copy of the Wind Farm Ordinance at the Board Meeting in April to review, and to be voted on at the Board meeting in May.
Resolution of the County Board of McDonough Co., Illinois Reapportioning McDonough County for Election of County Board
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Litchfield to approve Resolution of the County Board of McDonough County for Election of the Board with the boundaries to be determined at a later date.
Claims Review and Approval
Member Chapman moved with a second by Member Durkin to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

County Board Chair Comments
County Chair Scott Schwerer informed the Committee of a mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic that will be held Saturday April 10, 2021.
