McDonough County Board Elms/Building and Grounds Committee Met March 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included, Chair Larry Aurelio, Vice Chair Terra Lithchfield, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, Cindi Helling, Travis Hiel, Deckle McLean, and Marcia Twaddle. Others in attendance included Thomas Lowe, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe, Patrick Stout, Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander, and County Board Secretary Erica Wilmot.

Chair Larry Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approval of February 9, 2021 Minutes

No Minutes to approve.

Farm Report

County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee “It’s dry out there”.

Administrator’s Report

Census is at 57, with 10 being Medicare, 32 being Medicaid and, 15 private pay. Medicare currently owes $353,563.11. There were 38 admissions and, 39 Discharges.

Financial Report

Member Hiel moved with a second by Member McClean to approve the February 2021 Financial Reports.

Elms Claims

Member Cox moved with a second by Member Litchfield to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 8 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 0 absent.

Macomb Public Building Commission

Tim Bledsoe informed the Committee that the Building Commission is funding the new openers on the doors at The Elms.

McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report

Thomas Lowe gave the report.

Building and Grounds Claims

Member McLean moved with a second by Member Cox to approve the February Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Other

Maintenance Director Thomas Lowe was asked to check the Gas and Electric Contract for any clauses allowing a rate increase.

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer spoke about the Wind Farm lights.

Adjourn

Member Litchfield moved with a second by Member Hiel to adjourn the meeting at 7:37 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
