I.CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE/ROLL CALL

II.PUBLIC COMMENTS TO AGENDA

The Board of Education welcomes comments and questions from the public. If you wish to address the Board at this meeting, please fill out a Visitor’s Card available in the back of the room and present them to the Board’s Administrative Assistant before the meeting begins. When recognized by the Board President, please stand. We ask that you limit your comments to five (5) minutes. If more than one person will be addressing the same topic, we ask that you appoint a spokesperson to speak for the group. The Board President may shorten or lengthen an individual’s opportunity to speak. The President may also deny an individual the opportunity if the individual has previously addressed the Board on the same subject within the past 2 months. Personnel matters will not be discussed in open session.

X.EXECUTIVE SESSION

1. The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific Employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors, or specific volunteers of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves as an independent contractor, or a volunteer of the District or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with the Act. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1), amended by P.A. 101-459

2. Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(2)
